"LOVE & HEARTACHE" REVIEWS/PRESS:

"I am pretty sure that GAYLYNN ROBINSON´S new CD "LOVE & HEARTACHE" will be nominated as "The Country Music Album of the Year"! The song Call Back My Heart Texas Moon has already found its way to radio stations playlists all over the world. The CD contains ten tracks, all songs written by Gaylynn Robinson. I am stuck on Keeper of the Flame, great lyrics, beautiful melody and Randy Reinhard´s steel guitar is just magnificent! Producer is the man in Blanco, Texas, BOBBY FLORES. I feel he has surpassed himself - the arrangements are just perfect!!
I´ll kill myself and eat my dog if you don´t dig this CD!!! (Cool it *Raisa, don´t start howlin´ at the moon - I am quite positive folks will luv this record!!!)

Gaylynn Robinson's Love & Heartache Album is by far the finest country and western swing music to hit airwaves in years. Gaylynn not only has the perfect voice, her songwriting talents proves the two go hand in hand. Jim Loessberg, Randy Reinhard, Jake Hooker and Harlan Kubos team up with the top Texas producer Bobby Flores and the legendary record master Tommy Detamore make up the A-Team to compliment Robinson's Love & Heartache CD and has the makin's to become album of the year.   Gaylynn Robinson's new Love & Heartache album will always have a place on The Backforty Bunkhouse Show.

Gaylynn Robinson's "Love & Heartache"  is nothing short of awesome!  The songs are diverse, to the point, and embrace a number of styles, all while staying true to Gaylynn as a songwriter and singer.

I am glad Gaylynn chose an upright bass, especially with the likes of Jake Hooker and Harlan Kubos.  It delivers a "hand done" acoustic bass that lends itself to Gaylynn’s acoustic guitar and songwriting style.  I love the instrumentation.  I am glad Gaylynn gave ample room for fiddle and steel leads.  I was glad it wasn't all electric guitar.  This album sounds so good with the instruments that Gaylynn chose!  Having Bobby Flores on her side was smart and effective. Using Harlan Kubos (River Road Boys)  on the swing number was genius.  Bobby's string lines are blended very well.  I knew he would give the best string lines since he is a fiddler himself. The drums are perfect for each song!  Gaylynn’s songwriting is great.  There is nothing more to say on that because Gaylynn has a track record of writing good songs.  Not every song sounds the same.  You still have that "Gaylynn" theme running through the album along with the different songs. Fantastic.

Congratulations of a job well done.  Hard to pick a favorite since they are all collectively good.

Recently, I took a road trip that was over 5 hours and I took “Love & Heartache” along to listen to it while the miles melted away.  I had already listened to it several times already, but I wanted to listen to it again and again to see if I would get tired of it.  Nothing could be further from the truth!  This album sounds better and better the MORE you listen to it!

Gaylynn has developed a style of songwriting that anyone can listen to and say, "yes, that is a Gaylynn Robinson song!"

"SONGS BY A WEST TEXAS SONGSTRESS" REVIEWS/PRESS:

"One thing is for sure, the songs are delivered with a convincing depth of feeling that makes it easy to believe they may well be and Robinson's voice wrings emotion from every word she sings. We all know that Texan's think they are the biggest and best of everything; well, when it comes to this album, they have every right to brag. "   ["Songs By A West Texas Songstress"]

"Gaylynn Robinson exemplifies a prominent strain of Texas music: traditional country with vague traces, here and there, of earlier Southwestern folk traditions. Anthology showcases Robinson's writing and vocal skills....... Robinson knows how to do it, and she does it right."   ["Songs By A West Texas Songstress"]
